May Issue

FEB-MAY just rocked up in a sunshine taxi!

It’s been a hectic few weeks for the Kiara girls with buying trips and setting up our sexy new website (www.kiaraboutique.com).

On May 14th will be heading out to Newcastle Racecourse for ladies’ night. It’s a school disco, retro line up with Bananarama, T’Pau and Heaven 17. You can join the fun for £25 per ticket ( just call 0191 2362020).

We will of course only be hitting the fizz and partying after we have finished working at the Kiara stall selling our new Anya Hindmarch bags. A quick change before the mayhem starts means we already have our outfits planned: maxi dresses and ankle cuffs- hot! Sadly for the boys, the Kiara pins remain covered for a few more weeks. We’re not being cruel to the local male population (we prefer doing that behind closed doors), its simply because we’ve been too busy to get that St Tropez effect. Not to worry, we’ll dance like we’re being attacked by killer ants and then hit Grey Street until it begs us to stop.

On May 31st we’ll be at Civic Centre for the Miss Newcastle Finale. We’ll be rodeo riders in mixed up faded denim and quirky denim. The Kiara girls are sponsoring Carmel Bondswell and we know we’re onto a winner! She brings men to a halt like an Icelandic volcano at Newcastle’s departure lounge. Watch out for her picture when she storms to a decisive victory before being carried out on our un-deserving shoulders past a frenzied crowd of wide- eyed onlookers.

It’s the Kiara fashion show on June 7th with all proceeds going to those lovely people at the Variety Club. We’ll be indulging ourselves with a lunchtime event at the Jesmond culinary gem that is Franco’s restaurant. Charity work never tasted so good so thanks to the incomparable Judith who owns the place and thanks go to her for all her hard work making this event possible.

If you have any fashion news or low- down on new bars or clubs, I’d love to hear from you. Email me at ciara.duffy@:kiaraboutique.com or pop in and say hi, there’s always craic at Kiara. It’s like living in an episode of The Hills. Naturally I’d be Lauren!

                Until next month, Ciara.
